What You’ll Need

  • An invitation email from your organization administrator
  • A valid email address that matches your invitation
  • A secure password
Note: Mapademics uses invitation-based registration to ensure only authorized users can access your organization’s data.

Getting Started: Your First Login

Step 1: Access Your Invitation

  1. Check your email for an invitation from Mapademics
  2. Click the signup link in the email (valid for 24 hours)
Important: Invitation links expire after 24 hours. Contact your administrator for a new invitation if needed.

Step 2: Complete Account Setup

On the signup page, you’ll see your organization name and email address pre-filled:
  1. Enter your full name
  2. Create a secure password
  3. Confirm your password
  4. Click “Sign Up”
Success: You’ll be automatically logged in and redirected to your dashboard.

Regular Login Process

  1. Navigate to your organization’s Mapademics URL
  2. Enter your email address and password
  3. Click “Login”
You’ll be redirected to your dashboard with navigation options based on your role.

User Roles and Permissions

Your role determines which features you can access:

User (Standard Access)

  • View reports and dashboards
  • Browse programs, courses, and credentials
  • Access job market data
  • Use the widget system

Admin (Administrative Access)

Everything a User can do, plus:
  • Manage organization settings and users
  • Upload bulk data imports
  • Access background job processing
  • Configure system settings
Organization Context: You only see data from your organization, and your role applies within your organization only.

Account Management

Accessing Your Account Settings

  1. Click your name in the bottom-left sidebar
  2. Select “Account” to view and update your profile information

Signing Out

  1. Click your name in the sidebar footer
  2. Select “Sign out” to end your session securely

Security Best Practices

  • Create a strong, unique password with at least 12 characters
  • Always log out when using shared computers
  • Never share your login credentials

What Happens Next

After login, you’ll see your organization’s dashboard with:
  • Sidebar navigation based on your role
  • Platform tools (reports, widgets, core features)
  • Academic data (programs, courses, credentials, instructors)
  • Job market data
  • Settings section (Admin only)

Troubleshooting Authentication Issues

”Invalid Credentials” Error

  1. Double-check your email address matches your invitation exactly
  2. Verify your password (case-sensitive)
  3. Contact your administrator if you’re certain your credentials are correct
If your signup link doesn’t work:
  1. Check if it’s been more than 24 hours since receiving the invitation
  2. Contact your administrator to send a new invitation

Missing Invitation Email

  1. Check your spam/junk folder
  2. Search for “Mapademics” in your email
  3. Ask your administrator to verify the correct email address was used

Account Already Exists Error

  • Your email is already associated with an account
  • Try logging in with existing credentials
  • Contact your administrator if you’ve forgotten your password

Unexpected Logout

Sessions expire after periods of inactivity. Simply log in again using your credentials.
