The Applicants list
The table view of every applicant — searching, choosing columns, sorting, and building advanced filters.
The Applicants list
The Applicants list is the table view of everyone in your workspace. It's where you search, sort, filter, and pick out the people you want to work on next. It complements the Home board — same applicants, two ways to look at them: the board for pipeline-at-a-glance, the list for finding and working with specific rows.
Open it from Applicants in the sidebar.
Searching
The Search applicants… box at the left of the toolbar narrows the list as you type. It matches on the applicant's name and email, so a partial name or an email fragment is usually enough to find someone fast.
Search stacks with whatever filters and column choices you have set — it narrows the current view rather than resetting it.
Choosing columns
Click Columns in the toolbar to open Column Settings. Each column has a checkbox to show or hide it, and you can drag the rows to reorder how columns appear in the table.
The default columns are Name, Email, Phone, Location, Assignee, Tracking Status, and Resumes. Two more are available:
- Created At — when the applicant was added. Hidden by default; turn it on when you want to sort or scan by recency.
- Custom field columns — every applicant custom field your organization has defined shows up here as its own column (for example, a Veteran Yes/No field). Toggle the ones you want visible.
Show All and Hide All at the bottom flip every column at once.
Sorting
Click a column header to sort the list by that column; click again to reverse the direction. Sorting works on the built-in columns and on custom-field columns alike — so you can, for example, sort everyone with a particular custom field to the top.
Advanced filters
Click Filters to open Advanced Filters and build a precise view:
- Set the Filter Logic toggle to ALL (rows must match every filter) or ANY (rows matching at least one).
- Click Add Filter, pick a field, choose an operator, and enter a value.
- Add as many filters as you need, then click Apply Filters.
The field list covers Name, Email, Phone, Location, Skills, Assignee, Status, and every applicant custom field you've defined. Filtering specifically by tracking status — including how archived statuses behave — is covered in Tracking applicants through your pipeline.
Clear All removes every filter and returns to the full list.
Saving a view
Once you've dialed in a useful combination of filters and visible columns, use the Default View dropdown to save it as a named view or reset back to the default. Saved views are handy for the searches you run again and again — "unassigned and new," "everyone with a particular custom field," and so on.
Acting on what you've found
- Click any applicant's name to open their profile.
- Click the status pill on a row to change that applicant's tracking status inline.
- Tick the checkboxes and use Bulk Actions to update many applicants at once — see Bulk-updating many applicants at once.
