Employers
Manage the employers behind your jobs — view applicant matches per role, and override Public employers with Uploaded ones when you need to.
Employers
Every job in your workspace belongs to an employer. The Employers page lists them, and each employer's profile rolls up its jobs and the applicants from your pool that match best.
Public vs Uploaded employers
Employers follow the same Source distinction as jobs:
- Public employers are auto-created from one or more Public jobs that Mapademics curates for your organization. They are read-only.
- Uploaded employers are added by your team. They are fully editable.
For the canonical definition of Public vs Uploaded — including how Public visibility is gated by your contract — see Jobs — Public vs Uploaded. Note that, unlike jobs, employers are not split across two sidebar items: the Employers list combines both kinds and uses the Source column to tell them apart.
{% hint style="info" %} To override fields on a Public employer, create an Uploaded employer with the same name. Both records exist; the Uploaded one is what your team controls. {% endhint %}
The Employers list
Open Employers from the sidebar. The list shows every employer — Public and Uploaded — connected to your jobs.
Columns:
| Column | What it shows |
|---|---|
| Name | Employer name. Click to open the detail page. |
| Description | A short blurb if one is set, otherwise blank. |
| Source | Public or Uploaded (see above). |
| Active Jobs | Count badge of jobs currently posted for this employer. |
Use the Filters and Columns controls in the toolbar to narrow the view, and the Default View dropdown to save common filter combinations.
To add an employer manually, click Add Employer. Uploaded employers are useful when you want to track an org you're sourcing for that doesn't appear in the Public feed yet, or when you want to override the data on an auto-created Public employer.
The employer detail page
Open any employer to see two tabs.
General Information
The basic record. For Public employers, the page is read-only and a banner at the top reminds you so — and points you at the workaround above.
The page has two panels:
- Basic Information — Name and Description.
- Statistics — a job-count rollup with Total Jobs, Uploaded Jobs, Public Jobs, and the Created date. Useful when you want to know whether an employer is mostly your own pipeline or mostly Public.
Job Postings
The list of every job currently associated with this employer. Search and toggle columns from the toolbar. Each row shows the same Source / Location / Salary / Skills attributes you'd see on the main Jobs list, plus an Actions column whose contents depend on whether the job is Uploaded or Public.
The interesting feature here is the expansion: click the chevron on any job row to reveal Top Applicant Matches — the applicants in your pool whose skills best fit that role.
For each matched applicant you'll see:
- Their name (links to their profile).
- Their email.
- A Match Score percentage with a color-coded bar.
- A Skills count and a Matched value showing how many of the job's required skills the applicant covers (formatted as X / Y).
- A View action that opens the matched job inside the applicant's profile so you can see the full per-job breakdown described in Matching applicants to jobs.
This is the reverse direction of matching. Where the applicant's Jobs tab answers "what should this person consider?", the employer's Job Postings → expanded row answers "who in our pool is the best fit for this role?"
