Public Jobs

Browse the curated job feed Mapademics maintains for your organization — read-only postings used for matching.

Public Jobs

Public Jobs are the postings Mapademics has discovered, vetted, and extracted skills from on your organization's behalf. They live in your workspace alongside the jobs your team adds itself, but they behave differently: you cannot edit, add, or delete a Public job from inside Careers.

Which Public jobs you see depends on your contract with Mapademics. The feed is curated for your organization — typically scoped by region, sector, or both — so that the matches your applicants see are relevant to where they're applying.

For the conceptual difference between Public and Uploaded, see Public vs Uploaded. For your team's own postings, see Uploaded Jobs.

The Public Jobs list

Open Public Jobs from the sidebar. The list shows every Public job currently in your organization's feed.

The toolbar is intentionally narrower than the Uploaded Jobs toolbar:

  • Default View — save a combination of filters and visible columns as a named view.
  • Filters — open advanced filters. Build expressions across Name, Employer, Salary, Type, Skills, and more.
  • Columns — toggle which columns are visible. Same default set as Uploaded Jobs (Name, Employer, Location, Salary, Type, Skills).

There is no Add Job button and no row-selection checkboxes. Public jobs are read-only and bulk-edit doesn't apply.

Click any row's title to open the detail page.

The job detail page

A Public job's detail page has the same two-panel layout as an Uploaded job's — Job Details on the left, Required Skills on the right — but with the editing controls removed:

  • No Edit Skills, no Extract Skills on the right panel.
  • No Edit Details, no delete control on the left panel.
  • A small banner at the top identifies the row as Public and links to the original posting.

The Required Skills table still supports filtering and search — you just can't change what's in it.

When you need to override a Public job

If a Public job has a field your team disagrees with — a stale salary, a wrong location, a missing detail — the workaround is to add an Uploaded job for the same role under Uploaded Jobs. Both records will exist in your workspace; the Uploaded one is what your team controls.

If you want a clean view that hides the Public copy, use the Source column on the Employers page or filter on it in your saved views.

Matching with Public jobs

Public jobs match against your applicants the same way Uploaded jobs do — both feeds contribute to every applicant's Jobs tab. See Matching applicants to jobs for how scores are computed and how to read a match.
